Some good news for Little Rock schools
U.S. District Judge G. Thomas Eisele ruled Tuesday afternoon that he will allow Little Rock School Board President Katherine Mitchell and School Board member Mike Daugherty to participate in employment hearings of Superintendent Roy Brooks.
The judge denied the superintendent’s preliminary injunction to stop their participation, although he said they could choose to voluntarily withdraw.

“The voters of Little Rock School District’s Zone 1 elected Dr. Mitchell and are entitled to their representation by her,” he said.
Additionally, Eisele said the letter Mitchell wrote to nine senior-level School District administrators was “objectively threatening.”

Brooks' brazen attempt to circumvent democratic institutions has been stopped. Max at Arkansas Times probably has it right about impending changes in the district. The divisiveness is bound to worsen.
