Our old friend, Tommy

The good taxpayers of Faulkner County had the dubious pleasure of playing host to a pair of Arkansas most notorious and outlandish misfits, former State Senator Bill Lewellen and former Congressman Tommy Robinson. Lewellen is representing T. R. is a bankruptcy that has gotten all out of hand You may have read about it.

They got tossed in the steel bar motel for slowing down the sale of some property and, as you may know, federal judges are not individuals to be ignored. Lewellen was most complimentary of the professionalism of the jailers noting that in his vast experience dealing with scum of the earth, mad dog, perverts and psychopaths, this jail is among the best. Tommy is still good for a quote and does give credit to the mostly young staff for being respectful and professional.

He also observes that the beds were hard and the food was horrible. I am sure many of you are right now saying “good,” and you are exactly right. One presumes that jail food would be nutritious if not appealing to the refined tastes of a political big shot.

I know that Tommy is, at the core, a sincere guy and I am sure, if the need should arise, he, as an good prisoner, would cheerfully tie himself to a tree. As the old saying goes, “what goes around, comes around.”
