We focus on the superficial in this country. We elect a President on the basis of "Is he cute?", we give the breaks to the pretty people and those with money, not to the smart and deserving (unless they are pretty and/or have money, too.), and all the reality shows prove just how far we will go to for a buck.Things with real substance, like justice, and equality get little more than "lip service". Sorry,about the pun, Rilon.
 

We are all humans, we all deserve equality and acceptance. Didn't these peoples' mothers' ever teach them not to judge a book by it's cover? Kudos to you Pat for taking time out of your schedule to talk about this. I found it very interesting.

I would like to read a copy of this "new" insurance document which specifically states that anyone with facial piercing is "not allowed" to enter this individual's business.

I wonder how much money was invested in researching the risks anyone with facial piercing may experience while inside this skating facility.

Is it a proven fact that skaters/observers who have facial piercing are far more likely to fall and land on their faces instead of on their asses like the rest of us?

I hope this incident continues capture the media's attention.

Well, unless there is a dress code, which the rink has a right to have and enforce, he should be allowed in the rink. I honestly think the piercing and tattoo craze has a lot to do with people searching for identity and on the outside, he may appear a good person but he could be shouting for help on the inside.

I have a 21 year old son who doesn't quite have a goal yet. I agree that he may be looking for something such as "if I look different, everyone will be afraid of me" Some kids get picked on as kids and these are some of the reasons they choose to do these types of things. I feel if there is no dress code, it is deffinately discrimination. I commend Wendy for looking past the outer apperance and seeing Rilon for who he is inside. I went to a church where a kid came in with really long hair, big pants, van tennis shoes... really looking "different" for church... I told him he wasn't allowed to come to the church and sit by himself. Later I found he was our new ministers son. Judge, lest ye not be judged.
