Two Razorback basketball players have tested positive for drug use, and a third is on academic suspension from team activities, the University of Arkansas announced Wednesday.

Athletic department officials received the results of random drug tests conducted March 27, in which two basketball players tested positive for marijuana usage.

The three players weren't identified by the university because of federal privacy laws.

In a news release, the university said it was addressing rumors surrounding the surprise decision by new hire Dana Altman to return to Creighton.
