Michael Blakeley, Director of the Little Rock Zoo, visited this morning. Of course, he and I discussed the mating habits of the gorillas and the fate of elephants, along with the odd public curiosity about reptiles. The current projects of the zoo, including the historic carousel are included in the program. How will the zoo fare in new plans for War Memorial Park> It's all in the WAI Radio.com archives.
Please note that Mr. Blakeley brought a gift, and while it is not the customary libation, even a stuffed penguin can be appreciated. It is now under my tree.
